Hello again!
We have extended the date to register until May 15 however there are some conditions to this.
Firstly, as we have now given numbers to Bardon centre for those requiring accomodation, they have opened their rooms to other bookings. This means that for any person registering for Vital years, who will require a room, first I must confirm that an accomodation room is still available. This is likely, however I must communicate with the Centre before confirming your place.
Anyone wishing to be a day attendee or lectures only can book in as usual as numbers for food etc does not have to be confirmed until closer to the conference.
Please send the brochure now to any and everyone you think may be interested in taking up the opportunity to attend. We would like to reach 200 participants (essential for our budgeting) and have about 30 places left to fill.
At this stage, there will be some spaces available in workshops for those who might like to join a third one. We are currently working out a fee for this. Availability will be posted on the notice board at registration and we encourage you to book in to these at registration as no doubt this opportunity will be popular!!
Finally, our dear friend Carol Olde has notified me that she is no longer able to present her workshop at Vital Years on cold dyeing. I will be in contact with the 5 people who had booked in to help them change their workshop choice.
Dont forget to keep reminding your crafty friends to contact Avril re: co-op shop. We cant wait to see all the lovely creations Australian and New Zealand women are making!!

registration update
Hello all
Registrations are coming steadily and many many people are still requesting brochures...
I must give the Centre approximate numbers on April 3rd so if you are planning on staying over and want to secure a place, please send your registration promptly.
Some of the workshops are almost full- Biodynamics, moving with children, colour-painting, morning circles and hand gestures are near capacity so again, if this is your choice, send in your registration NOW.
Other workshops are filling steadily but have room at present.
Tell your friends, colleagues, interested parents etc. Vital years is a week designed for teachers of the early years primarily, however it is also a week that is delightfully nurturing for all involved. I send a special invitation to Parents in your communities; these parents who especially love these years and who may contemplate working in the early years in the future would really benefit from the learning and sharing and friendships that occur at Vital years.
Dont forget to keep reminding families in your communities about the craft shop co-op. We really want to have a grand selection of things we can all buy and know there are some great crafty mums and dads out there who would love a new audience and buyers!!

important note for participants staying at Centre
Please note that upon registering at the conference, you will need to check in at the Reception desk. All participants staying at centre will require a credit card to cover any possible incidentials that may arise eg phone calls from rooms, etc.

REGISTRATIONS ARE ROLLING IN...
Registrations are beginning to roll in and I have spoken with many people who are sending them in this week. Workshop selections are based on first in, first served. Some workshops (eg biodynamics, hand gestures, moving with children, painting, drawing) are starting to get quite full so if you are intending to come and wish to do these selections, it would be wise to get it in asap.
Connie, Avril and myself visited the conference centre again on Monday and were so pleased (once again) with our choice of venue. It is fab!! We have one large room where our co-op shop with craft/bookshop items will be. We are looking forward to people letting us know what they plan on putting up for sale. Dont forget to keep on to your parents/friends in your communities who are super crafty and /or a supplier of goods- ask them kindly to respond to avril so she starts to get an idea of what might be needed for displaying things.
One change to workshops- the cold dyeing workshop will now be held in Session C due to space restrictions/requirements.
Keep passing the info about the conference to anyone interested in Early childhood. We have space for 300 and hope to fill it and make this conference a melting pot of ideas, practical activities, sharing and fun!!

Once your cheque/money order has cleared, I will send you out a tax receipt and a formal letter of acceptance which will have your workshop selections listed.
Please note that I am trying to fit everyone in their first and second choices, but on a few occasions, these are both being held in same session so I then move onto your third/fourth choices.
